For those of you that don’t know Harry Potter and the cursed child is a Play that will run at a theatre in London starting this summer. It is the eighth story of harry potter meaning it takes place after the deathly hallows and personally I am super excited.
I would really like to know your thoughts about this play. Are you excited? Are you going? Do you feel like it should rather be a book? Any thoughts you have please comment so we can discuss. 😀

Ooh are you going to see the play? I managed to get tickets for me and my boyfriend for his Christmas present (I was literally in the online queue for about an hour and a half!) – I am so excited! It is a shame that it isn’t a book, I think, because it means that lots of people will miss out. I also think it was a bit strange that it’s in two parts, so in order to see the whole story you have to buy tickets to two plays, which was horribly expensive. I think it will be worth it, but if it had been a book, at least everyone who loves Harry Potter (so like… everyone! haha) would be able to enjoy it too.

Yes I am going 😀 I was in the queue for about that long as well. It was crazy! Yes, it should be a book or at least released as a film so everyone can see it. Who knows though they might do something more with it. It was expensive especially when I also had to buy plane tickets and pay for a hotel but hey, it’s a good excuse to go to London! 😀

That sounds like an awesome holiday! Hope you enjoy the play 😀 I think they may adapt it into a film, or at the very least release a recording of the play on DVD. I have almost a whole year to wait, as I’m going in December, but so excited 😀

I agree with rosyclivesy, many of us won’t get to watch and it feels a little unfair. Anyway i hope maybe at some point it will become a book we all can enjoy…

think I’m more excited about it most likely becoming a book as well as the play. Apparently some publishers are fighting over the rights of it, but it’s probably going to be in play form. Still excited though!

I’m very excited. I’m a little disappointed that it hasn’t been released as a book so that it’s more accessible to people who don’t necessarily have the ability to see the play, but I’m still excited because it’s more in the HP canon!
